EICB and Koninklijke Binnenvaart Nederland (KBN) together form the Binnenvaarthuis (Inland Shipping House) at the Scheepmakerij in Zwijndrecht. Both organizations focus on improving and supporting inland shipping as a mode of transport. With more than 800 registered inland shipping companies, Zwijndrecht is also known as the largest inland shipping municipality in the Netherlands.
