De provincie Zuid Holland daagt jonge start-ups uit om actuele vraagstukken ter hand te nemen. Twee de huidige challenges betreffen onderwerpen die mogelijk relevant zijn voor binnenvaart georiënteerde partijen: Inspectie van Vaarwegen Groene Corridor Meer informatie over het start-up programma is te lezen op de webpage: www.startupinresidence.com/zuid-holland/#. Indienen voor de huidige challenge kan tot 9 april. Vooraf zal op 22 maart een informatiebijeenkomst plaatsvinden.
Binnenvaartschepen die emissieloos varen krijgen in de Amsterdamse en Zaanse haven een korting van 20% op het binnenhavengeld. Deze korting krijgen binnenvaartschepen als zij het platina label van Green Award hebben. Daarmee zijn Amsterdam en Zaanstad de eerste havens van Nederland die dit nieuwe label van het Green Award programma inzetten. De regeling gaat per 1 januari 2018 in. Green Award, het certificatieprogramma voor binnen- en zeevaartschepen heeft half december een platina label geïntroduceerd voor emissieloos varen. The Port of Rotterdam wants to realise a new multifuel bunker station for the refuelling of LNG and other cleaner fuels. Krabbegors/Duivelseiland at Dordrecht Inland Seaport has been designated as the location for this bunker station. The Connecting Europe Conference 2017 organised by the Directorate-General for mobility and transport (DG MOVE) of the European Commission was held in Tallinn, Estonia, September 21st & 22nd, 2017, related to the Estonian EU Presidency 2017. On Tuesday May 9th 2017 during the Maritime Industry fair in Gorinchem (the Netherlands) the Dutch Innovation Lab of the Expertise and InnovationCentre Barging (EICB) organized a meeting about EURO-VI truck-engines and how these engines fit to the NRMM Stage-V requirements. A series of experts provided insight into questions -amongst others- how feasible the concept is in terms of both technology and regulations.
